Soo Line Community Garden
Soo Line Community Garden, since 1991, the garden has developed from a small group of volunteers to over 200 gardeners who contribute a small fee to have a 10 x 12-foot plot. The garden was initiated as inspiration by neighbors who saw an empty, tax-forfeited lot stuffed with litter as the future location for a community garden. In 1991, the neighbors with support from the Sustainable Resource Center and other donations were able to set up the Soo Line Community Garden.
Through community endeavor, the garden has added a cabin for the storage of hoses and tools and a water system. Establish a lovely front garden, new flowers and plants added to the Moen memorial, and the establishment of children’s gardens.
