“I absolutely love this place! Amazing service, great food, low-key beatnik environment, and decent location. Their root beer is crafted just like their real beers, and is amazing! The food is a little pricey but definitely worth treating yourself to, especially the cheese curds! Hats off to Town Hall for being authentic and modern.” – Belle L.

Day Block Brewing CompanyGood Beer Halls in Minneapolis

Day Block Brewing Company is named after the structure in which they are located the Day Block. In actuality, some of their brews bear the names of previous business owners who resided in this structure. Find out more about the fascinating past that influenced the creation of your favorite Minneapolis brewery. The building was named after Leonard Day, a local businessman who owned the entire city block around it and built it in 1883. Day was also a local flour milling and lumber industry mogul.

It was fashionable in the 19th century to give the first structure on the block the owner’s name—their very own vanity license plate if you will. The structure has been infused from the beginning with Day’s business energy. The unique businesses that have resided in Day Block over the years include a hospital, a furniture store, an undertaker service, and a plumbing supply shop.

“I think the best part of this place is their outdoor patio, especially being in the middle of the city. Their Greek goddess pizza and a glass of Citra were great.” – Ryo F.

Lakes & LegendsOne of the best Beer Halls in Minneapolis

Lakes & Legends was inspired by the thought that they could make a superior, farm-to-table beer that would elevate standards and broaden what one could expect from a beer. They couldn’t think of a better platform from which to start because they adore the improvisational spirit of Belgian farmhouse beers and the experimental tradition of Trappist beers.

When feasible, they highlight their farming partners while concentrating on high-quality ingredients. They take that trait and apply it to their taproom, providing a warm setting where people can mingle, unwind, and make memories that will last a lifetime. In an effort to improve the experience each time you lift a glass, they’re constantly experimenting and developing, creating new brews to surprise and excite.
