In 1974 Kerstin and Spencer Block established the first Buffalo Exchange in Tucson, Arizona. Kerstin, addressing from Sweden, reflecting the word “Buffalo” sounded very American, and since they were introducing the idea of fashionable clothing “Exchange,” the name was born.

In the 45 years since that 450 square foot store around the University of Arizona has bloomed into almost 50 stores across the US. Buffalo Exchange maintain to be managed by Kerstin and her daughter Rebecca and is still headquartered in Tucson.
