Pierogi Truck is a Polish family who moved to the US two decades ago. After 16 years in Windy City, they decided to move to San Diego. The first thing that they noticed was a lack of Eastern European restaurants. There was only one place where they could find pierogi, voted by Times Magazine to be the greatest food that ever came from Europe. Only one place in a city that big. That’s how they got the idea to open a restaurant. So they opened a pierogi truck in May of 2011.
They are trying to take the most authentic Polish and Eastern European cuisine to San Diego, that is why all of their ingredients come from the best Polish delis and meat shops in Chicago.
