Tricky Fish believe simple is better. Excellent food, fresh ingredients, just prepared…any more than that and things get complicated. Tricky Fish, the concept for it anyway, was established along Chinquapin Reef in East Matagorda Bay. And on the water off Port A and close to the barrier islands south of Cocodrie, LA. Days spent on the water and evenings spent with a freezing beer, good friends, and remarkable food.
Eating out should be a pause from the real world. It should be relaxing, fun, a chance to escape from all the things that make their lives, well, complicated. A good meal, spending time with family and friends, trying a native craft beer or glass of wine on the patio, that’s what Tricky Fish is all about.

“The food was delicious. Our server Felicity was AMAZING! She was very knowledgeable about the food items on the menu and her personality and her smile were gigantic! She was personable, professional, courteous, and thoughtful. Coconut shrimp, fried shrimp, grilled shrimp, and grilled tilapia. All were hot when they arrived at the table and the watermelon tea was refreshing! I’ll be back! (In my Arnold Schwarzenegger voice).” – Maria M.
