“It was snowing and we had a warm hearty breakfast in a heated pod. Service was excellent and the food was great! We started off with delicious complimentary beignets and coffee. I got to try the fried rice which they’re known for (good choice) and corn beef hash.
I must say they really made the most of it during covid” – Sally R.

“I have been to Laughing Planet many, many times and this is my first review. I don’t know why, but this restaurant with many locations is GREAT! They always serve great food, fresh, natural and tasty. Our Adult Children go to Laughing Planet a few times every week.” – Steve M.
MOD Pizza was established in 2008 by husband and wife, Scott and Ally Svenson, in their homeland of Seattle. It is the first ultrafast pizza experience – a pioneering fast-casual idea that places you in the driver’s seat. Artisan-style salads and pizzas are separately sized, done on-demand, and available in just minutes. Select from over 30 toppings – the price stays the same regardless of what you pick.
At its heart, nevertheless, MOD is a platform for doing good. The idea is that, if they take care of their employees, the employees will take care of you, and their business will take care of itself. They name it Spreading MODness, and after opening stores across the U.S., they think it is working.

“I didn’t know this place and I loved the concept of a really fast pizza, with so many options to prepare it, I would love a place like that in my country and in my city, and it also taste really good!” – Gioe

“Good flatbread pizza, crisply and flavorful. I chose mine because they dispensed with the cute names and called it “meat”–and it was (pepperoni, Canadian Bacon, pineapple). Decent size slices, enough to fill the average non-teenager. These days, many restaurants like to give you enough to feed a village in Ecuador, so it’s nice to find a place with reasonable portions. Kind of an industrial vibe inside, but a few outside tables if you’re lucky enough to score one.” – Andy A.
Bete-Lukas is situated on 50th and Division Ave. Experience Bete-Lukas’s extraordinary cuisine highlighting a complete menu with everything from salad, alicha, tibs, vegetarian dishes, and sambusas in an exquisite yet relaxed environment. The Ethiopian art adorned dining room with warm walls, and fashionable artistic photos on the wall, nurture the setting.
Their traditional menu includes lamb, beef, and chicken. And because of the Orthodox Church’s fasting seasons, vegetarian dishes come in plenty and a variety of flavors. The seasonings are usually cooked slowly in Kibe, with Ethiopia-grown chili peppers merging with ginger, onion, basil, garlic, spices, and a host of less usual spices like bishop’s weed, which resembles thyme.

“We are so happy that our favorite Ethiopian restaurant has reopened for takeout. I picked up our order yesterday, and was very impressed with the care they are taking to be safe and to keep visitors safe too. Everyone had masks on and the place was spotless. It appears that they are making sure only one or two people are in the place at a time. The food was, as always, lovely and fresh, and it was so nice to see the Owner and his team again. Right now they are only offering takeout, no delivery, but it’s worth it.” – Taslover
