Morton Williams Supermarkets is a long-standing, family-owned grocery chain in New York City that was founded in 1952. It features ShopRite, its private-label brand that is supplied by Wakefern Food Corporation, ShopRite’s parent company. Morton Williams’ first store opened in the Bronx and was originally operated under the Associated Supermarkets brand. The chain has 14 supermarkets in Manhattan as well as one in Jersey City.
