“Westroads Mall is the mall that has it all! Whether it’s shopping, food, or getting my nails done, this is the prime spot for everything! Easy to navigate and every store you could ever want is here, making it a no-brainer when deciding which mall to go to!” – Kristin T.

Oak View Mall

Oak View Mall is a shopping center in West Omaha, Nebraska. The mall has a “Kids Coliseum” play area and welcomes over 12,000,000 people each year. A “boom” in construction is credited to Oak View for bringing several big businesses, eateries, and three major hotel chains to the area around it.

In 1991, the mall first opened. The 730,000-square-foot mall was at the time Omaha’s only enclosed mall to be constructed in more than 20 years. In 1996, Sears started negotiating to open the mall. Similar to what occurred at Omaha’s Westroads Mall in December 2007, an attempted mall shooting occurred there in 2005.

REVIEWS:

“Oakview Mall is awesome! I love Dillard’s & JC Penney & Earthbound is my favorite store. The mall does need better lighting out in the parking area. It’s so dark & I pray for the safety of employees who are close & shoppers. This mall is my personal favorite in Omaha for shopping because it has clothes for the whole family & a nice food court. Plus Kohl’s is nearby & the parking lot is set up great with lots of entrances to stores & 2 main entrances with restrooms when you walk in or walk out. I’ve noticed that this mall doesn’t have many police officers for safety in the main area of the mall which could be due to location. I feel having officers onsight gives shoppers a sense of security & safety. I don’t shop at night here because the parking outside isn’t well lit so maybe there’s more security that I don’t know about at that time of day. Overall I think this mall is an excellent place for families & a safe place. Thankful the oak view mall is still open after all these years & is a great place with awesome stores & employees.” – Tanya B.
