Hands In Clay
Hands In Clay provides a casual, laid-back setting for discovering the fascinating world of ceramics. Beginner lessons begin on the wheel with a fundamental introduction to producing pottery and to the studio environment. Intermediate classes place more emphasis on a student’s past experiences and future goals. All of the classes are project-based, with the beginning students and their projects receiving the majority of the focus.
Each session also includes a hand-building workshop where the learner has the chance to create something more substantial and impressive. There are six weeks of once-weekly classes. When there are openings, you choose a class time, and that secures your place. They are accommodating with makeup classes if you cannot make a certain lesson.

Derby Pottery and Tile
Derby Pottery and Tile is a wide variety of tiles with Victorian influences that are offered in designs and fields with conventional and specialty glazing. The letter and number tiles found on New Orleans sidewalks are faithful replicas. Since 2003, Mark Derby has been producing them for the City of New Orleans.
They are made to endure a lifetime. A range of stoneware that has been decorated with raised relief ornamentation and is glazed in historically appropriate hues. Clay was used to recreate the well-known New Orleans water meter cover as a decorative wall clock with a variety of glazes. Additionally offered as a tile with a hanging notch.

Earth & Fire Pottery Studio
Earth & Fire Pottery Studio has been a feature of the Maple Street neighborhood in New Orleans. Rachael DePauw Pottery
Rachael DePauw Pottery has the ability to feed the mind and the home. It is Rachael DePauw’s desire that individuals who use her creations would enjoy them as much as she did while creating them. She and her husband, William, produce a wide range of artwork, including ceramic jewelry, home number plaques, decorative items, and dinnerware.

Potsalot Pottery
Potsalot Pottery aims to produce a work of usable art that provokes contemplation with each use. In 1993, they started making pottery with attention for everyday use. Award-winning potters Alex and Cindy Williams have been making ceramics by hand in New Orleans for over 25 years. Visitors can visit Alex or Cindy at the wheel at their studio/showroom on Magazine Street and see their collection of distinctive bowls, mugs, plates, lamps, and other items.
Their Bread Bowls, which are exhibited on wooden shelves made by Cindy’s father, show how Alex and Cindy are inspired by their homes and families. In Cindy and Alex’s house, each design is first tested.
