U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Training Center
U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Training Center was built as a training facility for the Olympic and Paralympic athletes of the United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee. They are situated in Lake Placid, New York, and Colorado Springs, Colorado. Red Rock Canyon Open Space
Red Rock Canyon Open Space is distinguished by a collection of ridges and canyons created by the erosion of the region’s uplifted geological strata. The ridges and canyons provide inspiring views, quiet retreats, varied terrain for enjoyment, and a 240 million-year window into sedimentary geology for learning. The Ute Pass Fault truncates the sedimentary geology in Section 16 and replaces it with much older rock.
A diverse range of plant and animal groups is supported by the region’s varied topography and geology. The region has been used by humans, and as a result, a rich and varied history has been left behind, including Ute defense sites, stone quarries, and gold mills.

The Broadmoor Seven Falls
The Broadmoor Seven Falls is a group of seven cascading waterfalls that are part of South Cheyenne Creek in Colorado Springs’ South Cheyenne Canyon. Since it first opened in the early 1880s, the tourist destination has been privately owned. In September 2013, there was a big flood in the area, forcing Seven Falls to close until repairs are finished in 2015.
From the top of the falls, there are trails that go to Inspiration Point and Midnight Falls, which are close to the South Cheyenne Creek headwaters. About 4.5 miles southwest of the center of Colorado Springs, on Cheyenne Boulevard, is where the canyon’s entrance may be found. “The Grandest Mile of Scenery” in Colorado has been referred to as the South Cheyenne Canyon route to Seven Falls.

Drove up to the main parking lot and then took a shuttle to the 7 Fall location, they have a ticket booth onsite. 15 mins walk up to the main waterfalls and 224 stairs up to the major hike trail! Colorado Springs Pioneers Museum
Colorado Springs Pioneers Museum aims to preserve and share the cultural past of the Pikes Peak region in order to create a lasting relationship with it. The location of the Colorado Springs Pioneers Museum is 215 S. Tejon Street, located in Colorado Springs. From 1903 until 1973, the El Paso County Courthouse was housed in a granite structure with a domed clock tower.
The museum, which relocated to its current location in 1979, features collections of fine arts, antiquities, and records that provide information about the Pikes Peak region. After Pikes Peak, the structure was the second site in El Paso County to be listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The museum also houses the Starsmore Center for Local History, a manuscript collection and study facility, which is situated inside Alamo Square Park.

Highlights for me were the artwork of Mrs. Van Briggle, the elevator, the change machine, and the QR code tour with questions about various places or exhibits (although the baseball question I got wrong because the display was misleading).
