Pizza Delicious
Pizza Delicious began with two college roommates, Mike and Greg, who shared a constant craving for pizza. For a long while, the idea of Pizza Delicious was just that, an occasional brainstorm. They were, after all, two liberal arts majors with no background in restaurants. Things changed when they were fortuitously introduced to an aging industrial bakery space, hiding on an otherwise all-residential block in the Bywater. “The Kitchen”, as they called it, had an industrial dough mixer, a couple of deck ovens, and lots of character. It was pretty much everything they needed.
At that point, though, they had clearly outgrown their shared kitchen space and had begun to look around for their permanent home. They found it in a big, empty warehouse only four blocks from the first kitchen. The place meant that they would be able to continue to feed their loyal patrons, who built their business from nothing. The space though was a long way from being a restaurant but after a long 9 months of very confusing construction, they were ready to open. In 2012 November, they served their first pie in their new restaurant.

Ancora Pizzeria
Ancora Pizzeria serves authentic Neapolitan pizzas and house-made salumi. They offer a fantastic selection of wines entirely from the Campania region of Southern Italy, the birthplace of pizza. They also create hand-crafted cocktails and seasonal Italian sodas. Ancora Pizzeria open up in June 2011. It was instrumental in the revitalization of Freret Street. They are housed in a renovated building next to their sister restaurant, High Hat Cafe. Its pizzas are made with water, flour, and sea salt.
