Jon Tai
Jon Tai is a well-known storyteller and magician whose goal is to build relationships between individuals by encouraging moments of shared amazement. With the grand launch of the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust’s Liberty Magic Theater in early 2019, he has made Pittsburgh his home base while performing magic both in person and virtually across the nation and the world.
The show that he co-created and starred in, “Missed Connections,” debuted at Chicago’s MacArthur Award-winning A Red Orchid Theatre and went on to become an Off-Broadway hit at 59E59 Theaters in New York City. Billy Heh
Billy Heh is one who thinks there are always miracles in life. Billy nearly lost his life in a near-fatal accident when he was nine years old. Billy’s magic emerged when he awoke from a deep sleep, just when it appeared that there was no hope while he lay in a coma. Even though he realized he had a long and difficult road to recovery ahead of him, he made the decision to fight instead of giving up.
Billy recovered from his three years of rigorous rehabilitation, which included learning how to walk and communicate once more, with a renewed sense of purpose and eagerness to live. Billy developed a liking for magic and comedy during this period of his recovery. Before his accident, he had always been interested in the spectacle and thrill of the stage, but he never had the money to follow this passion. Billy needed a pastime because he was injured in the accident and was unable to perform any contact sports. Sorcery was the solution.
