Joseph M. Bartholomew Municipal Golf Course is an 18-hole, par-72 course with distances ranging from 5,314 to 6,823. The newly refurbished course is owned and run by the City of New Orleans Department of Parks and Parkways. It features a double-ended driving range, putting green, and a pro shop with plenty of supplies.
The Joseph M. Bartholomew Golf Municipal Course, which had been known as the Pontchartrain Golf Course when it was first built in 1956, was refurbished in 1979 and given a new name in recognition of the first African-American to be elected into the Greater New Orleans Sports Hall of Fame.

Bayou Oaks At City Park – North Course
Bayou Oaks At City Park – North Course, added an astounding 72 holes to City Park’s golf facility when it first opened in 1969. Sadly, Hurricane Katrina and the North Course’s shutdown occurred in 2005. The North Course, which reopened in 2008, provides golfers of all skill levels with a difficult yet enjoyable round.
Four sets of tees are included on the North Course, with the longest measuring 5,740 yards from the tips to 4,300 yards from the Gold Tees.
