REVIEWS:

“Good solid food, great selection of beers, and the key lime pie is legendary. Small indoor space and a couple of outdoor picnic tables. It’s a loud bar-type atmosphere. Not the best place for kids, but otherwise is a really good burger and beer joint a little off the beaten path. A little high on prices, but generous portions and quality food.” – Sarah P.

MignonetteFish and Chips Miami

Mignonette was established in 2014 and Blue Collar in 2012, two eateries run by Miami-born chef Daniel Serfer in his hometown. The server didn’t always want to be a restaurateur with a flagship location in a hooker hotel, let alone a chef. His dream was to practice criminal defense law, but as he prepared for the LSAT, he discovered that he was more inspired by food than by the law.

Danny makes tasty, easy-to-follow food from scratch. Serfer’s restaurants exhibit his no-frills, full-flavor philosophy, and he can effortlessly transition between elegant dining and casual American comfort food. When he opened Blue Collar in the revitalized MiMo sector and followed suit with Mignonette in the burgeoning Edgewater neighborhood, he was a pioneer in Miami as one of the first restaurant owners to open a business there.

“Great Miami Spice deal – you can pick the appetizer and entree from the main menu. The food was excellent. I had octopus as an appetizer, 2 lobster tails with sweet potato wedges & polenta sides, and the bread pudding. Tried my friend’s appetizer which was the diver scallop. All was excellent. Great service as well.” – Annie K.

“Garcia’s is a Miami staple but has become too overpriced. The fish dip that they used to give complimentary was almost $20 for a scoop with canned jalapeños and bagged chips. The rest of the food was excellent, and my compliments to the chef and kitchen staff as always. Service has gone down significantly. Unfortunately, it may be the last time I dine here.” – Jackie R.
