Rib CityBBQ Restaurants in Virginia Beach

Rib City is a well-known barbecue restaurant franchise that serves traditional sides with its ribs. In 1989, a modest family-run barbecue restaurant on U.S. 41 in Fort Myers, Florida, pioneered the idea of real barbecue with fantastic ribs. A second restaurant opened in Cape Coral in 1990 as a result of the success of the first. Along with partners Paul and Craig Peden, prominent restaurateurs in Southwest Florida for more than 20 years, a transfer was made across the street to a larger structure after outgrowing the modest location in the U.S. Later in the same year, they turned a spot near Fort Myers Beach into Rib City.

Rib City’s renowned baby back ribs were now accessible in two counties in 1994 after a store in North Naples was opened. Paul and Craig Peden, father and son partners, continued to build the business and enter new markets in 1995. Within the following twenty-one years, the Peden family opened ten more locations as the accolades kept coming in. Florida residents can enjoy the award-winning baby back ribs and barbecue from Rib City, which has 13 restaurants spread over four counties and, after almost 27 years, has earned the moniker “The Ribs That Legends Are Made Of.”

“Been driving past this place for years and finally went in with my wife to try it out, my only regret was not coming sooner. My wife got the brisket dinner and the brisket was tender and cooked very well. I got the riblet dinner and that too was tender and juicy, sides as well were very good definitely worth stopping by and trying it out.” – Dan C.

MISSION BBQ began doing business in September 2011. Ten years after the world underwent a permanent transformation, they wanted to make a modest dent in that change. The heroes of this nation are what make it great, and as the creators of MISSION BBQ, they work hard to remind everyone of this every day. So who are they? Two buddies who are enthusiastic about BBQ, patriotic about their nation, and who think that running a company with meaning and purpose is important.

“I’ve never had so many amazing experiences as a disabled veteran going into a restaurant before. I get a veteran parking spot on top of that. The customer service is always great. The food is outstanding. The food gets made super fast. I feel so warm and welcome when I walk into this restaurant. The free sandwiches periodically through email really entice me as well. As a matter of fact, I’m going right now!! Thanks, Mission BBQ!” – Chris R.

Daves BBQBBQ Restaurants Virginia Beach

Daves BBQ is known for its smoked meats that are slowly cooked. You can rely on Dave’s BBQ. Serving you is what Dave wants to do. the very people he was raised among. In the area he called home for more than 40 years, barbecue was his absolute favorite food. At Dave’s BBQ, he takes a straightforward approach. wood, meat, and fire! That should be sufficient to make a fantastic barbecue, in his opinion. My pits don’t have propane or electric components. To do what they do requires time.

He does prepare his own sauces; however, he kindly asks that you try them without the sauce. Growing up, he developed a liking for a tasty backyard barbecue. Being the people-pleaser that he is, he discovered that giving someone delicious food is the simplest way to make them happy. Give them something memorable as well. He persevered in trying to master my interest despite numerous setbacks. After working his fair share of several jobs, he made the decision to try his hand at the barbecue. So far, so good!

“Excellent BBQ with generous portions on their sandwiches! Spicy coleslaw was unique and hit the spot. Brisket was some of the best I have had. Sauces were also on point. Small store with a hidden location in the back. Nicely decorated on the inside with friendly staff.” – Vinny F.

“I got Bully BBQ combo, I was impressed with the customer service just as much as I was by the food. The pictures don’t do it justice because I got it to go and drove 30 minutes before. It travels well and the way they bagged it up, everything was warm when I arrived to eat. The pork bbq or the potato salad was my favorite, the collards had a strong vinegar taste which I really enjoyed. The beef was just as good but the pork stole the show. I will be trying the entire menu in the near future.” – Kyle W.

Smokey BonesOne of the best BBQ Restaurants in Virginia Beach

Smokey Bones is known for its fine dining, fine drinks, and good times. Though not necessarily in that order, they function as a bar and grill. They are seasoned grillers who respect the intensity of the flame. They appreciate wholesome, flavorful meals and don’t take marinating lightly. From their perspective, medium rare should be the only way to cook a steak. Pork should be pulled and slowly smoked repeatedly, according to them.

They are aware that it is your bartenders—not the alcohol—who make the drinks so great. But alcohol isn’t dangerous. They believe that beer should always be consumed cold. The servers at the table offer much more than just food, as they are all too aware.
