Dr. Melissa Wilson Beer is a California-licensed audiologist with over ten years of industry experience. She obtained her BA in Speech-Language-Hearing Sciences from the University of Kansas with a significance in American Sign Language studies and her Doctor of Audiology degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Dr. Beer started practicing audiology in California at the Hearing and Speech Center of Northern California in San Francisco, where she was designated as Director of Pediatrics in 2009.
She developed a multidisciplinary counseling and support program for families of children with newly diagnosed hearing loss. In 2013, Dr. Beer was appointed Program Coordinator for Cochlear Implant Interconnect (CII), a collaboration between the Hearing and Speech Center of Northern California and the UCSF Cochlear Implant Center. Dr. Shui-Lan Lee‘s childbirth was in Taiwan and immigrated to the United States when she was 2 years old, and she stays articulate Cantonese. Raised and educated in San Francisco, her hearing aid encounter began in 1987 when she became a licensed hearing aid dispenser for the Emporium Hearing Aid Department. She later served as a supervisor for the Hearing Aid Dispensers Exam on behalf of the Department of Consumer Affairs.
She finished her master’s degree in audiology from San Francisco State University in 1992 and earned her Doctorate of Audiology in 2009 from A.T. Still University of Health Sciences in Arizona. Offering hearing health care has been a tough but highly gainful experience, and Shui-Lan has found her life greatly enriched through the bonds she has formed with the patients and their family and buddies she has congregated at the office. She is happy to be a member of the staff at Golden Gate Hearing Services and to give continued services to the hearing-impaired society.

Dr. Carey Philliposian joined San Francisco Audiology in October of 2014. She has been enthusiastic about the field of audiology for more than 20 years, use up the past 17 years practicing adult and pediatric audiology in the Bay Area. Her experience varies from private practice, non-profit and hospital settings such as UCSF Medical Center. Dr. Annie Ha is an amiable and charming audiologist evaluating and treating patients with hearing loss in San Francisco, CA.
