The Frazier History Museum
The Frazier History Museum promotes historical awareness in order to build a better future. It is a history museum in downtown Louisville’s West Main District. The Frazier, a Smithsonian Institution affiliate, uses artifacts, exhibitions, and daily live interpretations written and performed by a talented group of teaching artists to document and recreate historical stories.
The Frazier was previously known as the Frazier Historical Arms Museum when it was founded in 2004 by local philanthropist Owsley Brown Frazier. The Stewart Collection, one of the world’s biggest collections of toy soldiers and historical miniatures on permanent public display, is presently housed at the Frazier.
