Baba’s Mediterranean Kitchen changed their inner dining room into a market with fresh eggs and milk from South Mountain Creamery, ice cream from Taharka Brothers, Granola from Michele’s, and their own sumac pita chips and specialty dips to go. Baba’s will continue to provide foods you should expect in a Mediterranean Cafe: those rich with freshness, natural ingredients, and authentic tradition.

“Awesome food and service try the dolpas they’re the bomb. Homemade pita and hummus oh my god yum. The Baklava was not the typical syrupy Turkish delight type I am used to however theirs here is a lighter more buttery treat packed with walnuts, super delicious. “I cannot stress enough how good this place is. If you are coming to the harbor and want something delicious and also super affordable this is the place to go. I have never been disappointed.” – Aubrey B.
Doner Bros began in the Fall of 2015, when their founders Alex Politsch and Steven Banks went to Oktoberfest in Munich, Germany. They originally scheduled to eat German food, engulf themselves in Bavarian culture, and most significantly, relish great beer. On the first night of their trip they halted for a snack, they never anticipated their world to be turned upside down. They had uncovered the World Famous Doner Kebab and it was love at first bite.
After their return to the States, Alex found a new career selling wine in DC, and Steven continued his career in sales. Each day lingered by until one morning while Alex and Steven chatted before work, Alex mentioned that he was just about ready to take the leap of faith and open his dream “stir-fry” food truck. Steven fulfilled that this might be his last shot to change fate so he quickly reminded Alex of their love affair with that sumptuous, sizzling, stack of spiced meat and blurted out. Today, they are on a mission to bring the world’s most famous takeaway food to the United States.
