Reviews:

“Esther’s Follies, unusual name, fitting for this laugh-out-loud Saturday Night Live meets David Copperfield theater show. The origins of the name come from the late actress Esther Williams. Right in the smack entertainment center of Austin, the famous/infamous 6th street, you are showcased with 1.5 hours of comedy, magic, skits, audience participation from inside and outside from legendary cast members that have been with the show for years to bright new stars, an eclectic array of cast members. If you enjoy fun, this is a must-stop. There’s also a bar in the back for legal and illegal patrons.” – Tuan L.

“This theatre had a special showing of Love Actually around Christmas, so I and my friend attended. It’s absolutely gorgeous inside. Regal, and charming. There is a bar and snacks although we didn’t try anything. I think it’s a great venue in the heart of downtown. All of the employees I interacted with were friendly. I wouldn’t hesitate to go back for a show.” – Keshante A.

“Had a blast coming to the show with my college-bound son. It was so very funny and enjoyable. If he ends up at UT, we’ll definitely make this place a regular spot to visit. We did two different clubs in Austin, this one was definitely better (to each their own), both places seemed to be passionate about their craft and the art of improv/theatre. It undoubtedly worth the visit for a good laugh!” – Russell B.

“We haven’t been to the indoors auditorium yet but the HEB terrace is so magical, especially around sunset. The skyline is a beautiful setting for a performance. The food is overpriced and wishes either the portions were larger or pricing was reasonable. The Sunday night jazz collaboration outside is also really nice because you can picnic on the lawn.” – Shradha A.
