Dr. C. Andrew Salzberg is a New York Board Certified Plastic Surgeon who specializes in cosmetic surgery and breast surgery, including breast reconstruction. He is the Chief of Plastic Surgery Services, at the Mount Sinai Health System in NYC.
Dr. Salzberg is best known as the pioneer of Direct to Implant and AlloDerm Breast Reconstruction. This type of breast reconstruction replaces the traditional Tissue Expander Method, which required two surgeries with in-office biweekly expansion for several weeks in between. In practice since 1987, his new, pioneered technique (2001) allows him to put in a permanent breast implant, with no need to expand or have a second surgery, because of his approach in using AlloDerm to act as coverage and support of the bottom portion of the implant.

Dr. David P. Rapaport – Board Certified New York Plastic Surgeon, David. P. Rapaport, son of holocaust survivors, began the study of medicine at Boston University six-year medical program at age 16 before transferring to Israel’s Tel Aviv University, where he earned his medical degree. He trained in general surgery at Boston’s Beth Israel Hospital, a major teaching hospital of Harvard Medical School, where he served as Chief Resident. He then did his plastic surgery training at the New York University’s Institute of Reconstructive Plastic Surgery, which is widely regarded as the nation’s top plastic and cosmetic surgery residency program. There too, he was appointed Executive Chief Resident.
