Dr. Scott Phillips completed a psychology degree at the University of Kentucky in his hometown of Lexington, Kentucky. He went on to complete medical school at University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. He completed his internship and a seven year residency in neurosurgery at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan, including 1 year a Chief Resident. As part of the Air Force Health Professions Scholarship Program, Dr. Phillips then served 4 years Active Duty as a Staff Neurosurgeon at San Antonio Military Medical Center (SAMMC/BAMC). Dr. Phillips also served as a neurosurgeon in Afghanistan for combat-related spine and neurological injuries. He was a staff neurosurgeon at San Antonio Military Medical Hospital for four years.

Dr. Alvarado, also known to his patients as “Dr. A”, earned his medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio in 2005. He remained at UTHSC in San Antonio for his post graduate residency training. Soon after completing three years of intensive surgical training, he entered and subsequently completed an Anesthesiology residency as well. Dr. A went on to complete a post residency fellowship in Interventional Pain Management at UTHSC at San Antonio, where he also earned additional advanced track training. Dr. Alvarado is bilingual in English and Spanish helping to ensure his patients know and understand their treatment plan. Dr. DeLeon is a native of Corpus Christi, Texas. He attended Texas A&M University Kingsville where he graduated summa cum laude with a degree in Biology. He then went on to pursue his Medical Degree at University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. Following his graduation from medical school, he completed an internship in General Surgery at the UT Health Science Center San Antonio and went on to finish a residency in Anesthesiology at Rush Medical Center in Chicago. Dr. DeLeon was then selected for a fellowship in Pain Medicine where he received comphrensive training in both interventional and medical management of pain.
