After attending Wright State University School of Medicine in his hometown of Dayton, Ohio; Dr. Bathla completed his training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Schwab Rehabilitation Hospital/University of Chicago. He then went on to complete an interventional pain medicine fellowship at the University of Chicago in the Department of Anesthesia. Dr. Nidal Elbaridi – As a young man Dr. Nidal Elbaridi sustained a life threatening head injury after a motor vehicle accident. He fully recovered through extensive rehabilitation, embracing health and fitness as a lifestyle. This experience was a pivotal process in his personal and professional life.
Early in his career, he chose a profession in physical therapy where as a business owner, he quickly learned the interplay between the practice of medicine and the cost of health care delivery. This continued passion for patient care and my quest for higher learning led him to transition to a career as a physician with a focus on anesthesia and pain management.
He received my residency training in anesthesiology at John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County in Chicago, Illinois. Dr. Tian Xia had been living in a medical environment for his entire youth; literally. As the child of a doctor in China, where hospitals provide housing for their doctors, Tian grew up on what amounts to a hospital complex. Immersed in such an environment, Tian learned a great deal as he grew and decided to continue down that familiar path and pursue an expertise in medicine.
