Dr. Thomas L. Lim was named by the California Optometric Association as it’s “Optometrist of the Year for 2013”. The nomination criteria are public service outside of Optometry; service to the visual welfare of the public; service to optometry; service to the California Optometric Association.
A graduate of the Illinois College of Optometry, Dr. Lim is an active member of The American Optometric Association, California Optometric Association, Santa Clara County Optometric Society and the Magellan Optometry Group. Dr. Lim is the 2013 Optometrist of the Year in California, a past recipient of the Young Optometrist of the Year award in Santa Clara County, the Young Optometrist of the Year in California, as well as the Optometrist of the year in Santa Clara County. He has also served on the San Jose Mercury News Reader Advisory Board.

Dr. Phuong Pham grew up in San Jose with a large supportive family. She graduated in 2005 from University of California, Berkeley with a bachelors degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology. The following fall she moved to Manhattan to attend the four year doctorate program at State University New York College of Optometry. She graduated as a Doctor of Optometry in 2009 with honors.
Ever since high school Dr. Pham has always wanted to become an optometrist in her hometown. In 2011 with the help her husband, family, and friends she was able to open Crest Optometry in San Jose. She loves her career and is passionate about caring for her patients.

Dr. Elaine Chung is a Diplomate of the American Board of Optometry and is a fellow of the American Academy of Optometry. She is a member of the California Optometric Association (COA), American Optometric Association (AOA) and is the past President for the Santa Clara County Optometric Society (SCCOS). She was named SCCOS Young Optometrist of the Year in 2008 and awarded COA Young Optometrist of the Year in 2009. She was also recognized as SCCOS Optometrist of the Year in 2014. Dr. Elaine Chung received her Bachelor of Arts degree in 2001 from the University of California, Berkeley majoring in Molecular Cell Biology. They also have a contact lens program where they will replace random contacts (if you accidentally lose one sometimes when you put them on or take them off) if you buy a full year supply from them. Dr. Brian Kitajima was born and raised in Orinda, CA. He attended the University of California, Davis, and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science. He became interested in the profession of optometry because he has worn glasses since he was 6 years old. He enjoyed seeing his optometrist because he was excited to update his prescription and improve his vision. When it came time to consider what profession he was interested in, he interned at an optometry office decided that it was the right career choice.
After graduating from UC Davis, he decided to go to the State University of New York, College of Optometry because of its very diverse patient population, strong pediatrics/vision therapy program, and strong ocular disease and contact lens clinics.
