Dr. Carolyn Matthews majored in English Literature at Williams College, where she was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa and graduated Magna Cum Laude. She then attended the Medical College of Virginia and was invited into the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. She stayed at the Medical College of Virginia for residency in obstetrics and gynecology and served as chief resident in her final year. Her fellowship in gynecologic oncology was completed in 1991 at The University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas; while there she served as a junior faculty member. Dr. Matthews completed a two year fellowship in integrative medicine with Dr. Andrew Weil at the University of Arizona in 2008, and in 2010, completed training in medical acupuncture with Dr. Joseph Helms. Dr. Alan K. Munoz attended medical school at Louisiana State University and has been practicing gynecologic oncology in the Dallas area for over 30 years.
Dr. Munoz completed his residency at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School and his fellowship at the University of California, Los Angeles. In addition, Dr. Munoz has implemented a pelvic surgery fellowship program within his clinic.
Though his primary medical interest is gynecologic oncology (cancer in the female reproductive organs), he is also a specialist in difficult, complex, female pelvic surgeries.
