Desert Botanical Garden
Desert Botanical Garden is Phoenix’s most popular botanical garden located inside Papago Park. Established in 1939 by the Arizona Cactus and Native Flora Society, the garden houses over 50,000 different plant species. 379 rare and endangered plant species also call the botanical garden home. The garden has also been heralded as Phoenix’s Point of Pride. They also do specialized tours in the garden, as well as lectures and workshops regarding desert horticulture and landscaping. Musical Instrument Museum is the biggest museum in the world that has a collection of over 15,000 different musical instruments and related objects from almost 200 countries and territories around the world. Bigger countries like America, China, India, and Mexico have more than one display that has sub-sections for a variety of folk, tribal, and ethnic music. The building that houses the museum is approximately 200,000 square feet in size that has two floors for the galleries. The facility also has a large 299-seat theater for concerts and other events.
