New Market Hardware
New Market Hardware the name of the company comes from its original site, New Market Hardware. When Prohibition ended, the business moved across the street to the former speakeasy on the southeast corner of Sarah and Laclede. The flourishing business gradually outgrew the adjacent storefront, which had formerly held Laclede Music, a hotspot for hip St Louis music fans in the 1950s and 1960s.
