South Grove Golf Course
South Grove Golf Course opened in 1992 and is designed by Pleasant Run and Sarah Shank golf course architect Harry Schopp. The course’s name came from the grove of trees located on the south side of the park where the golf course is at. Being one of the flatter golf courses in Indianapolis, South Grove Golf presents tougher fairways with the tight tree line it has. The course not only boasts a scenic view of the beautiful Indianapolis skyline, but it also uses the land’s natural features to make the golfing experience amazing. Winding River Golf Course is a lovely 18-hole championship golf course located on the southwest side of Indy near the Indianapolis International Airport. The course offers southern flavor with its scenic rolling hills and awe-inspiring backdrops. Fairways and greens in great shape the coarse layout were fun to play. There are some elevation holes. greens can be tricky depending on flag placement. Most Sand traps are hard as a rock. Has a nice range and putting area. I would play here again one of the nicer courses I’ve played for $40. – Tom Ortiz
