“Super cute place for brunch. I had a Cuban burger, so good. Fries are amazing. My husband had French toast. That wasn’t his favorite. He still ranks the place in New Orleans first.” – Ayumi F.

“We went there for my birthday dinner. It was our first-time visit. When we arrive around five o’clock, we were the only ones. The decoration was not too much, too little just enough to have nice meals. I ordered beef tartar as an appetizer, duck for myself, my husband for lamb, risotto to share for side, and finally for the trio sampler dessert. Tartar was a little over vinegar for me, but still a decent amount of meat with toasted baguette. The duck was perfectly prepared. It was very soft and tasty sauce over it. It was on the bed of some long beans and roasted potatoes. Lamb was actually cooked perfectly as well. It was so soft and the first time I ate that soft lamb. Worth the money.” – Lucy O.

“Quite possibly one of the most enjoyable dining experiences I’ve ever had. The staff went out of their way to ensure we had a safe visit a couple of months ago when many places in Nashville weren’t taking the same level of precautions. The ambiance in the “barn” was perfect, and everything we ate was divine. We loved everything about Miel. We will be back.” – Catherine G.

Once Upon A Time In FranceOne of the best French Cuisine in Nashville

Once Upon A Time In France started in 2016 when musician/sound engineer Melvil Arnt left France to start a whole new life in Music City. Born and raised in Paris where he worked in cocktail bars and several restaurants, his passion for wine and French cuisine led him to launch the project of opening what was lacking the most in Nashville, a true wine bar. On the contrary of opening a wine bar or a classic restaurant, they opened what’s called the friendliest, delicious and affordable, staple of the French culture, A Bistro.

“I stepped into this place and was immediately transported to a bistro in France. The owner and staff couldn’t have been more courteous and welcoming. A top-notch French dining experience in Nashville that won’t break the bank. And the food would make Gordon Ramsey proud. So delicious, they nailed everything perfectly.” – Stephen E.
