Dr Issa Eshima has 36 years of experience in the cosmetic surgery profession, having graduated from the University of California’s School of Medicine in 1984. Since then, he has been affiliated with several respected medical institutions and practices, and currently works with Saint Francis Memorial Hospital.
Before ending up at Saint Francis, Dr Eshima completed his residency with the Bellevue Hospital Centre. During this time, Dr Eshima discovered that his passion for in cosmetic and plastic surgeries, where he could work towards becoming a leading expert in reconstructive surgery. Like many other applauded plastic surgeons in the industry, Dr Eshima is a member of the American Board of Plastic Surgery.
Furthermore, Dr Eshima has been involved in a range of diverse publications relating to the field of cosmetic surgery and practices. He was one of the key contributors to a thesis entitled “The role of plastic surgery in the treatment of malignant melanoma”, which studied how plastic surgery could play a crucial role in treating skin cancers. He was also involved with another paper called “Combined muscle flap and Ilizarov reconstruction for bone and soft tissue defects”. The study consisted of 36 patients, who were treated used Ilizarov reconstruction methods.
