Lawrence Charles Parish
Lawrence Charles Parish – Parish Dermatology

Dr. Parish attended the University of Michigan and graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with an A.B. degree.  He received his M.D. degree from Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston in 1963.

He interned at the Philadelphia General Hospital and completed his dermatology training at the University of Pennsylvania.  Dr. Parish served in the army for two years (121 Evacuation Hospital, Korea and Walson Army Hospital, Fort Dix, NJ). After leaving the army, he entered the private practice of dermatology in Philadelphia in 1969.

He is currently Clinical Professor of Dermatology and Cutaneous Biology at Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia. He holds visiting professorships at Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans, Yonsei University College of Medicine in Seoul, Korea, and Zagazig University Faculty of Medicine in Egypt. He has been awarded the degree of Doctor of Medicine (Honoris Causa) by the Sofia University Faculty of Medicine.

He is author of over 500 papers and is the Editor-in-Chief of Clinics in Dermatology and SKINmed: Dermatology for the Practitioner.
