Dr. Abraham Kuruvilla is a board-certified dermatologist in Dallas and accomplished academic professor. Dr. Kuruvilla received his medical degree in medicine and surgery from the University of Kerala in Trivandrum, India. He then went on to complete his Ph.D. in immunology from Baylor College of Medicine, where he also completed an internship in pediatrics. Dr. Kuruvilla then traveled to Boston to complete his residency of dermatology at the Boston University and Tufts University Schools of Medicine. After some time in private practice, Dr. Kuruvilla received an additional Ph.D. in hermeneutics at the University of Aberdeen in Scotland, UK.
In addition to Dr. Kuruvilla’s dermatology career, he serves as a professor at Dallas Theological Seminary. When he is not in the clinic or the classroom, he enjoys reading, writing, preaching, listening to Bach and collecting old dermatology textbooks. And, of course, he loves bowties!

She has written many articles and book chapters and has given numerous presentations on this topic at conferences around the world. She has also conducted clinical research in lupus and dermatomyositis and is published in the major dermatology journals and textbooks.
Dr. Costner graduated magna cum laude from the University of St. Thomas in 1987. She received her doctorate in medicine from the University of Texas Medical School at Houston in 1993 where she was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. She completed her internship in Internal Medicine at the same institution and completed a residency in Dermatology at UT Southwestern Medical School in Dallas. Dr. Jerald Sklar is a board-certified dermatologist with a passion for people. Dr. Alan Menter was born in England and is a graduate of the Medical School of the University of Witwatersrand, South Africa. He completed his dermatology residency at Pretoria General Hospital at the University of Pretoria, also in South Africa, and two fellowships in London at Guy’s Hospital and St. John’s Hospital for Diseases of the Skin.
A fellowship with the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas brought Menter to the United States. Since then, he has held several positions within the UT and Baylor University systems. In 1992, he was appointed chairman of the Division of Dermatology at Baylor University Medical Center and still holds that position. In 2007, he was appointed director of the Baylor Research Center and in 2010, Program Director of the newly formed Dermatology Residency Program at Baylor University Medical Center.
