Cirque du Soleil: Luzia is a show that is inspired by the vibrance of Mexico’s culture. The show has an act of 44 performers from 15 countries and is Cirque du Soleil’s 38th production that was launched in 1984. With a fantastic series of breathtaking visuals and otherworldly acrobatic feats, Luzia brings to life to the stage various places, faces, and music from Mexico inspired by both modernity and tradition. Different facets make the show unique like the integration of water in acts, phantasmic menageries, and breaking barriers in traditional circus acts.

Zinzanni is a three-hour amalgamation of cirque, cabaret, and comedy combined, served with a multi-course spread. The moment you step into their doors you will immediately be transported into a fantastical world where performers are not confined in the limits of the stage, instead, the performance is brought to you from all angles of the room. Every act is unique and guests are invited to participate in a few acts as well, making it more interactive than most circus acts. The table-side interactions with the performers are fun and the celebratory atmosphere makes it an experience you will never forget.

CircEsteem teaches the youth circus classes in Chicago via partner schools and residencies. Their mission is to have the youth across all identities, backgrounds, and beliefs come together through growing self-esteem and mutual respect via the practice and performance of the circus arts. Conceived in 2001, this academic and creative endeavor was started by Paul Miller, a retired Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Bailey performer. They help the youth build their self-esteem in a safe and judgment-free environment through learning and practicing circus acts. CircEsteem uses social circus as an innovative way of social intervention as a means of influencing positive social change.
