Alma’s Cakes
Alma’s Cakes is a family business and they would like to earn your business. Stop by or call them to learn what they can make for you. Every small business has its beginning. They initiated back in the summer of 1977 when Alma started taking cake decorating classes in Southeast Houston. Over the years, she was baking cakes from home for family and close friends.
As time progressed, the opportunities did as well. Alma first disembarks on the location decorating for Randall’s in Northwest Houston. There she amazed everyone that bought a cake. After some time, Alma worked for Sam’s Club until she determined to go into business for herself. In the Spring of 1999, construction was initiated to open her own bakery.
Beside her was Pedro who operate many long and hard hours for Toyota at the Port of Houston. Together, they made the determination to start on Alma’s dream. By the end of the summer of 1999, Alma’s Cakes was introduced to the public. Since then, they have been serving the greater Houston area with great-tasting cakes.

El Bolillo Bakery
El Bolillo Bakery has one of the largest varieties of Tres Leches cakes that can be chosen from every day. El Bolillo Bakery has a variety of Bolillos which is one of the staple bread for the Hispanic community. Every day at El Bolillo Bakery there is something new so stop by and explore their bakery for the freshest of bread. El Bolillo Bakery commenced out as a small Mexican bakery in the Greater Heights area of Houston.
Over the years the bakery became famous due to its hundreds of everyday fresh pastries and great customer service. Soon, the business outgrew the small building the bakery started in and construction started for a bigger bakery across the street. Moeller’s Bakery
Moeller’s Bakery is proud of their rich history Moeller’s Bakery brings to the city of Houston. In 1930 Goswin Moeller started Moeller’s Bakery with his brother Raymond. The two brothers learned to bake in a bakery in New Braunfels, Texas before moving to Houston. Goswin Moeller not only opened Moeller’s bakery in 1930, but he also had a son Donald W. Moeller in the same year.
They have been incredibly fortunate at Moeller’s Bakery to have wonderful and dedicated employees. The recipes that are used in the bakery now are the same recipes he used in 1930 with no additives or preservatives added to any items. They still even have the same pre-World War II oven that is used every day. The oven has rotating shelves that make sure all the items are baked evenly.
