Retrospect Coffee Bar
Retrospect Coffee Bar offers handmade espresso from their bright orange Slayer. In May of 2017, a small part of Houston’s history from the 1920s reopened to the community as Retrospect Coffee Bar. At the heart of Retrospect is a brilliant orange Slayer espresso machine hand-built in Seattle to Retrospect’s custom details. A restricted but considerate menu of sweet and savory crepes are served all day, each named after a different icon of Texas history – including the Lady Bird Johnson with chopped turkey, goat cheese, and the all-veggie Janice Joplin.
A rotating list of craft beer is on offer, as well as an eclectic range of wines by the glass or bottle. And for fans of handcrafted frozen custard, Retrospect will carry a complete line of Honeychild’s Sweet Creams, including a unique flavor just for them the orange creamsicle.
