“Tasty, tasty, and tasty! Clean beef broth and mouth watering beef, this is the place to go. The area is “interesting” BUT there’s a large parking lot next to this establishment. I recommend the “number two”, which is a beef soup noodle dish with all the magical beef parts” – Rachel Royer Denzer

Tay Ho Restaurant & Bar

Tay Ho Restaurant & BarTay Ho Restaurant & Bar cooks in the same way that their moms, aunts, grandmothers, and great-grandmothers did. Their gastronomic inspiration comes from the food they ate at home as children in Vietnam and then in Oakland and the Bay Area after their family immigrated here in the 1980s. Coming home for the holidays and seeing a pot of Bun Bo Hue or Pho cooking on the stove is like coming home for the holidays.

“We had such a great experience at this restaurant! Felt like we traveled to Vietnam in the East Bay. The tapioca dumplings were amazing, and the pork belly was so great, we were glad that we worked up an appetite before arriving! We will definitely return to try the drinks, try more food, and enjoy the ambience. Also shout outs for the mural of Anthony Bourdain on the outside! Cheers.” – Kevin Steve Tellez

“This part of Oakland is called Little Saigon and around the block there are literally dozens of vietnamese restaurants. I’ve been to most restaurants around here and I must say, this place has the best food I’ve ever had around the bay area. I’m just going to leave it at that, because this place doesn’t need to be hyped up and to be honest, I didn’t even want to leave a review as I wanted to keep this place to myself.” – Daniel Kim
