Strange Town

Strange TownStrange Town wants to emphasize their farmers’ hard work and attention to detail in their products, as well as remind their guests of the many things fruits and vegetables can accomplish. In their modest kitchen, they make satiating, innovative cuisine using ingredients farmed locally and prepared by hand in small numbers. “Even though I am not 100% vegan I still enjoy meatless meals. I have been here several times with the changes in menus and each time there is something new to enjoy. The wines are superb also and I also like the ambiance with the vinyl playing for background music. I am hoping post COVID to return again. Definitely recommend this” – Rachel Chapin

Twisted Plants

Twisted PlantsTwisted Plants is owned by Brandon and Arielle Hawthorne, the Milwaukee couple behind Twisted Plants. Arielle was diagnosed with cancer in 2016 and began researching the impact of diet on one’s health. Before being completely vegan, she ate a vegetarian diet. Twisted Plants was created out of their desire to share our love of vegan comfort food with others. They debuted the vegan/plant-based comfort food trailer in the spring of 2019 and have been attending various sites and events in the Milwaukee area. They were thrilled to open their permanent brick-and-mortar location in Cudahy in the spring of 2020.
