“Very good food and very friendly people. We get takeout from this restaurant almost every Friday night, and it is always good. I love the steamed dumplings, the summer rolls, the tofu with vegetables, the lemongrass chicken, and many other things. What’s more, is that the people who run the restaurant are very nice. I often chat with them for a few minutes while my food is finishing up, and they are friendly and super nice. Food is always ready on time, although I find it is better to give them a little bit of extra time than some restaurants (which I suspect don’t make things from scratch to order), Here, everything tastes freshly cooked.” – Ron C.

“Out door seating with heaters for winter! The pad Thai here was spectacular and the waitstaff was friendly, professional, and made great recommendations! I highly recommend this place to go to Thai in Philadelphia. I’ve been trying out the Thai places in the city and this is the best quality and at good prices. The presentation of the dishes is special and cute with flower carrots to garnish. The flavors of the pad Thai were exactly right with the right balance of citrus and sweet. I’ll be going back many many times!” – Dan D.

“One of my favorite Thai restaurants in the Philadelphia area. Great quality food and never disappointed. Sometimes the service is very slow and feels neglected, but all that is diminished once the food arrives. Can’t wait to go back another time again!” – Nidhi S.

“During a business trip to Philadelphia, I decided to seek out a Thai restaurant. My hotel was close to Chestnut St, and I wandered over to JJ Thai Restaurant. It’s a small, intimate sort of place. Very pleasant atmosphere. It was nice and quiet – at least until a table of six sat down next to my table. Maybe one or more of them were hard of hearing.
I was really torn between a crispy basil duck and a salmon dish. Finally decided based on salmon probably being healthier than duck. The salmon was really delicious. Don’t doubt that the duck would be too.” – Richard K

“Ordered the seasonal appetizer Thai beef jerky buns to start. The dough was perfect with all the right levels of sweetness and acid. I broke out of my comfort zone with some seafood crazy noodles. There was so much seafood! I didn’t miss my normal Pad Thai order at all. We will be going back in the future to try the mango sticky rice but we were so full that we couldn’t make it happen. Overall it was a great BYOB location with super cute decorations and attentive staff.” – Cassandra K.
