Grinn & Barrett Tattoo
Grinn & Barrett Tattoo is one of Omaha’s earliest tattoo parlors when it opened its doors in 1991. Grinn and Barrett moved to a brand-new, independent structure that was once a US post office in December 2012. The structure was deserted and in bad shape from years of neglect. The structure was entirely renovated inside and out with the aid of a few friends and many hours and hours of labor, resulting in a studio that is now a roomy and creative epicenter for ink and art.
In fact, Grinn and Barrett received the Neighborhood Improvement Award from the Midtown Business Association for their efforts in restoring the building and promoting economic growth in the neighborhood, which added to the allure of the building by illuminating the street and directing traffic to the shop with a sizable vintage neon sign that had been repurposed.

Black Squirrel Tattoo
Black Squirrel Tattoo was founded in 2010 by Matt Dinovo and Mel Judkins on the corner of 40th and Farnam Street in Omaha’s Blackstone neighborhood. Since then, Black Squirrel has moved to Nebraska and Iowa. Each place is still regarded as one of the top tattoo studios in the Midwest.
