Amor Eterno Arte
Amor Eterno Arte is an art exhibition room and tattoo studio in East Oakland. Their gallery curates art shows every two months and highlights artists from East Oakland, the Bay Area, and all understated communities. Within art shows, they host community cultural celebrations, youth workshops, and printmaking as resistance. They give their space for free or low-cost for the local foundation systems to fundraise and spread the word. Amor Eterno Arte was initiated by local artists Amy George Cortez and Chamuco Cortez.
Amy, born and raised in Alameda, has been working in art galleries and museums with a community and noncommercial focus for 15 years. Chamuco, born and raised in Oakland, has been tattooing for 17 years all over the Bay Area. Chamuco is famous for his black and grey, Aztec and portraits tattoos.

Sacred Tattoo
Sacred Tattoo, Downtown Oakland’s oldest working tattoo shop. They have an artist for every style of tattoo that you could need. Sacred Tattoo is open for custom tattoos by appointment or walk-ins, seven days a week. Walk-in tattoos can be custom-made designs as well, but they urge you to make an appointment for large or complex designs. The shop is open every day excluding Tuesday. They open at noon and take their last tattoo at 7 pm. Deposits are needed for all appointments. They cannot take appointments over the phone until a deposit has already been made.
