Little Dipper Pool
Little Dipper Pool is a tiny community pool located near the District 12 skyway. The Little Dipper has been serving Skyway families for 60 years, with the goal of helping to establish community through the foundation of swimming. The Little Dipper Pool, originally opened in 1954, is a neighborhood jewel hidden in the midst of Skyway in Colorado Springs’ Southwest district. The pool features big grassy spaces for relaxing, a shallow end for small ones, and a diving board for the more daring kids and adults. The pool provides light snacks for purchase and many BBQs for cooking up a tasty supper if you’re searching for a pleasant and peaceful way to spend your summer days.

Schlessman Natatorium
Schlessman Natatorium serves as the home of Colorado College’s varsity swimming and diving teams as well as a recreational facility for the whole campus community after half a century of service. The most recent modifications were completed in the spring of 2013 with the extension of the El Pomar Sports Center. A new vestibule entry, new bleachers, and refurbished change rooms are among them.
The aquatic facility, which was established in 1963 and had a makeover in 1997, contains 1- and 3-meter maxi flex diving boards atop 14-foot-deep diving well, as well as the pool’s eight racing lanes. For the competition, the natatorium has an electronic Colorado Timing System. The glass-encased complex’s southern orientation allows it to gather passive solar heat from the winter sun, keeping athletes and spectators comfortable.

The private lessons for my daughter were to make scheduling easier. We eventually moved my son to privates so he could focus on particular technique issues. Both classes and privates have been great. Vista Grande Recreation Association
Vista Grande Recreation Association features a great outdoor community pool that includes sand volleyball courts, a basketball court, a children’s playground, gas grills, and more. This is the epitome of family pleasure. A volunteer board of directors runs VGRA, a non-profit leisure center. From Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day weekend, the facilities are open to members and their visitors. A huge pool with a diving board, a kiddie pool for children 5 and under, bathhouses, a snack shack, a play area with slides and swings, a sand volleyball court, a basketball court, and a tetherball court are among the facilities available. With a huge covered pavilion and several café tables and chairs, they have plenty of seating.
