Origami Restaurant
Origami Restaurant is a must-visit when it comes to sushi in the Twin Cities. Kiminobu Ichikawa, the owner, and master sushi chef created a limited partnership with Del Francis and Tatsuya Saji in 1990 to bring a modern Japanese restaurant to an enthusiastic and sushi-hungry Minneapolis. With a crew of 13, including head chef Yutaka Kanda, Origami opened its doors in November 1990.

“Great sushi can be hard to find in Minnesota so I’m very glad I’ve found Origami. I booked a reservation for my girlfriend and me as a date night spot, and we were so pleasantly surprised. The inside is beautiful and I really liked the ambiance and the art on the walls. The service was great and although they were out of a couple of items, we were very very satisfied. MOMO Sushi
MOMO Sushi is a locally owned and operated restaurant that specializes in freshly prepared Japanese cuisine. Chef Sonam Nyorie, a Tibetan immigrant who arrived in the United States in 2010, owns and operates Momo, which honors Tibetan cuisine while also drawing on his abilities as a sushi chef, which he honed working in several sushi restaurants on the east coast and in the Twin Cities.
