“Ruth Cris is my go to spot for a delicious ribeye. Great service, cold beers, and cleanly. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. My only complaint is they removed the Onion Rings from the menu…like noooooo they were so good. Steaks were cooked perfectly, Brussels Sprouts were good but usually seared a lot better. Overall great experience.” – Tommy Perkins
Dickie Brennan’s Steakhouse
Dickie Brennan’s Steakhouse is a well-kept family business. For generations, their family of restaurants has been honing the art of beef preparation. That’s why they grill their chops, sear their strips, oven-roast their prime rib, and broil our filets at Dickie Brennan’s Steakhouse. The service receives the same level of attention. “We’re not here for today, we’re here for 50 years down the road,” says Dickie Brennan. Guests are treated to a spectacular dining experience, complete with all the warmth that New Orleans is known for.

“Such an iconic steakhouse feel. Thank you so much for accommodating our party of 13 in your private dining room (plus even more family members in the main dining room). We enjoyed every minute of our time there. Great service, wine and the option of ordering from the New Orleans Coolinary prix fixe menu or the standard menu. Our steaks were perfect and I didn’t hear a single complaint from anyone in our party. We appreciated every bit of the Brennan southern hospitality we’ve come to expect. We’ll be back next time we’re in NOLA!” – Valerie Paxton
Mr. John’s Steakhouse
Mr. John’s Steakhouse was founded by John Santopadre in 2006. Over the years, he owned a number of successful restaurants in town, including Smilies and Cafe Giovanni. Mr. Santopadre died in 2007, although the restaurant was sold before he died to Santopadre’s son-in-law, Rodney Salvaggio, who had run Smilie’s for most of its history; Desi Vega, a former chef at Commander’s Palace, Ruth’s Chris, and Emeril’s; and Paul Varisco of The Milestones. Mr. John’s passion for offering the greatest quality steaks was something Desi, Paul, and Rodney wanted to carry on, and they have nearly 50 years of total restaurant expertise.

“Fantastic steakhouse located right off St. Charles. I went with my fiancé for my birthday and we were treated very nicely from the moment we walked in. Our servers Jimmie and server assistant Amie were outstanding. The food was on a whole other level!! The steak was prepared perfectly and was so tender. The apps were a very good portion and so flavorful. A little on the pricier side but so worth it. We will definitely be back again :)” – Gail Ponce

“I ate at CCSH last night with a large party. They had blocked off the entire second floor for us and had everything ready for us before we arrived. The staff was on point with a group of over twenty. I ordered a ribeye medium rare and potatoes. The steak came out perfectly with a warm red center. It was amazing! The cheese covered potatoes only added another level of deliciousness. Highly recommend!” – Mark Perez-Sandi
