Mrs O’Leary’s began in 1992 as the area’s first retail operation in a 100-year-old boarded-up warehouse. It took months of day and night work including practically sleeping on the floor to bring out the beauty of the building. In order to restore the building to its former splendor, they removed all of the outdated wiring, built walls, and sandblasted layers of paint off of the bricks. They are still transforming their wonderful girl today. What a pleasure it is to see these old structures emerge from the darkness and once more breathe the life of the city.
