“I was here and found some great stuff, including kids books at a good price. But I left something behind that I shouldn’t have, and when I called the staff dug through the store until they found it for me so it could be held for pickup. I live so far out of town that there was no way I was going back for it and the person picking up wasn’t going to dig through the store for me. I appreciate the extra effort so much. Will definitely be back when I’m in town next. Thanks!” – KM Aferty

Echo Shop

Echo ShopEcho Shop was an idea by the incredible working mother-of-four Joanne Wilkinson. In 1968, the business opened its doors with $200 and a cigar box in place of a cash register. Echo rapidly became the go-to place for well-heeled Tulsans looking to make a profit on last season’s wardrobe and high fashion fans looking for a bargain. Echo Man opened in 1990 to allow guys in on Tulsa’s most dapper deal. They’ve served over 45,000 consignors, whose high quality style allows us to deliver the crème of the crop to countless delighted shoppers, after 50 years and two generations.

REVIEWS:

“I have been buying and selling clothes and shoes and handbags at Echo for probably 30 years. They are more discriminating in what they take than many consignment stores, so I never expect them to take all my things, but then I also know that what I shop for will be better quality, too. I find them friendly, professional and the shop is clean and neat. I don’t live in Tulsa anymore, but still save my best things to take to the Echo, when I am in town. Never a bad experience.” – Renee Roszel

Uptown Cheapskate

Uptown CheapskateUptown Cheapskate opened in Salt Lake City, Utah, in 2009, although the idea for a stylish resale apparel store for teens and young adults had been simmering for years. Before she traveled to conduct a church service mission in Anchorage, Alaska in 2006, Chelsea Sloan Carroll, co-founder of Uptown Cheapskate, began thinking about launching her own resale firm. Chelsea and her brother, Scott Sloan, started planning what would become known as Uptown Cheapskate the day she returned from her mission.
