Central High School
Central High School started as Omaha High School in the Nebraska Territory capitol building. In 1869, after the territorial government was removed from Omaha, the capitol building was donated to the City of Omaha by the Nebraska state government for educational use only. In 1870, it was demolished. In 1872, it was changed by a four-story building that hosted kindergarten through twelfth grades. In 1900, a new building was begun that surrounded the second school, which was dismantled by 1912. Kindergarten through eighth grade was moved to the neighboring Central Elementary School.

Omaha Street School
Omaha Street School is an alternative high school for students who have not found achievement in a traditional school setting. They empower at-risk students to discover new hope and success through education, vocation, and love in a Christ-centered environment. The Omaha Street School started its doors in January 1999. Today enrollment reaches from 25 to 30 with an average classroom size of 8 students.

South High School is an information technology and visual/performing arts magnet school which trains students in grades 9–12. South High School, is one of the largest high school buildings in the state. The students at Omaha South use laptop computers and palmtops as part of their daily classroom activities.
