“My sandwich was great! I got The Rachel, which is basically a Rueben with pastrami instead of corned beef. I had read some comments about the customer service not being great, but that was not my experience at all. I would say the guy at the counter wasn’t overly friendly, so I can see how some people might misconstrue that as rude. But he helped me pick my sandwich and I really liked it. I will be back, probably at least once a month for the foreseeable future.” – Sophie S.
The Milk Bar
The Milk Bar is a family-owned and managed cafe, selling salads, hot sandwiches, and milkshakes. Traditionally, Milk Bars were run by Greek and Italian immigrants. The first one started in Sydney in 1932, modeled after an American soda fountain. They soon became very successful, and spread throughout the country, promptly becoming an important part of Australian culture. This day, Milk Bars are few and far between, having folded under the weight of fast-food chains.

“Such great food!! Got the Fried Lobster Po Boy with Bacon and Avocado, and it was so good! Everything about it was next level! It’s the market price though so be prepared for it to be quite a bit more expensive than the other menu items. The dudes working there were very helpful and friendly! Great place to get a bite to eat!” – Devin M.
