Dr. Christopher E. Lord attended the University of Texas at Austin and has specialized in psychology with a minor emphasis in zoology. Following the completion of his undergraduate degree, medical training began immediately afterward at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. Dr. Lord enjoyed psychiatric training at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Following successful completion of that training program, he returned to Texas to pursue post-graduate fellowship training in two different psychiatric sub-specialties: forensic and addiction psychiatry.
