Café Du Monde
Café Du Monde was founded in 1862 at the French Market in New Orleans. Every day of the week, the Cafe is open 24 hours a day. Only on Christmas Day on the odd occasion when a hurricane gets dangerously close to New Orleans does it close. A conventional coffee establishment is The Original Cafe Du Monde. On the menu are Beignets, White and Chocolate Milk, fresh squeezed Orange Juice, and dark roasted Coffee and Chicory. You can order your coffee black or with milk. Au Lait denotes a mixture of hot milk and half & half. Beignets are square doughnuts made in the French tradition that are heavily dusted with powdered sugar. Iced coffee was first served in the cafe in 1988. In that same year, soft drinks also made their appearance.

St. Louis Cathedral
