Filippi’s Pizza Grotto Little Italy was a collaboration of ideas from an Italian and French couple. The husband and wife team consisted of Vincent De Philippis from Italy, and Madeleine Manfredi a French national. They started their jump on the business scene with an Italian themed food market. When the year 1950 came, they were on their way to opening Filippi’s Pizza Grottos. Members of their family served as their first batch of helpers. That way, they are confident that customers are welcomed warmly and taken care of properly. Then they can focus on preparing traditional style Italian recipes, pizza being the most popular.

“Glad I found this place. Staff is super attentive and friendly. Portions are enormous. I wanted to lay down in the fetal position after eating but thought they may call 911. In all seriousness, the spaghetti and meat sauce was super. I will definitely be back when I come back to the area.” –Chad Cox
