The Pizza Press
The Pizza Press takes the concept of “make your own pizza” to a new level by including ambiance, service, and, of course, pizza into an immersive setting. Their motif, which was inspired by a 1920s Americana newspaper, harkens back to a time before the industrial revolution when newspapers were the backbone of small communities.
They urge you to tell your tale by “publishing” a pizza or selecting one of their iconic pizzas named after important American newspapers like “The Times,” “The Tribune,” or “The Chronicle,” to mention a few. The Pizza Press, situated in Anaheim, California, was founded in 2012 and now has over 30 locations nationally.
“Hands down the best pizza place I’ve been to. You can build your own pizza with as many toppings as you like and it takes 5 minutes to make! Fresh, fast, delicious, and perfectly created. Highly recommended.” – Colin W.
Metro Pizza was founded in 1905. The very first pizzeria in the U.S was founded by Gennaro Lombardi. It was on Spring Street, in the center of Little Italy, New York. Their ancestors were fortunate enough to live barely 50 yards away when they immigrated to America. Pizza has always been at the heart of their family’s life, dating back to those early days. His parents’ first employment was pouring coal into the enormous bakery ovens where Sicilian pizzas were made and delivered to hungry immigrant households. The time-honored talents of the Pizzaiolo, or pizza chef, have been passed down from generation to generation over the years.
At Metro Pizza, they pride themselves on upholding the great traditions of America’s iconic pizzerias. Every day, they make fresh dough from the best wheat, stretch it by hand, and bake it on the stone of their hearth ovens. Only the finest vine-ripened tomatoes are used in their sauces, which are then topped with the freshest veggies, herbs, and spices available. Each of their pizzas is a labor of love made by three generations of family members.

“We ate inside and had a delicious “Gotham” pizza pie. The crust was perfect, and the toppings were delicious and plentiful. The service was fantastic. Our drinks came very quickly, and they served us fresh bread and butter right away. Refills were offered, not even having to ask. The interior is nicely decorated. Great food, great service, a great staff. Thanks, folks – a great job.” – Larry B.
